EduKick Germany Soccer Academy to Open in 2014

EduKick has announced another new program! This time it’s a new soccer academy opening in Germany, in 2014.

As with the other EduKick Academies around the world, EduKick Germany will focus on training international players in both excellent soccer skills and language training by UEFA licensed professional German coaches.

The new EduKick Germany student-players will be living, training in soccer and studying language at Sportschule Hennef. Hennef is also home to 5th Division German Football Club, FC HENNEF 05.

The soccer academy offers attractive services for international soccer players such as state-of-the-art training and living facilities at Sportschule Hennef, German language classes, German soccer tactics and theory lectures, individualized strength and conditioning and daily football training.

Since EduKick Germany Head Technical Football Director, Eskandar Zamani has a very good relationship with Hennef O5, EduKick Germany academy players will have the opportunity to train there alongside German players their age.

EduKick is finally returning to Germany! Coach Eskandar Zamani is a quality professional German coach and experienced mentor to young footballers. And the training and living facilities at the Sportschule Hennef are second to none.

The facility offers everything a young soccer player could need or want including updated dormitories, restaurant, snack bar, both natural and artificial turf pitches as well as a gym with artificial turf. A large gym complex is complemented by an outdoor swimming pool and a beach area.

Here are some of the Program highlights:

EduKick prioritizes learning a foreign language. Language classes will take place three times per week in the onsite classroom. Two classes will be structured teaching of the German Language and the other on soccer-specific German language learning.

Safety and Security is important to us. Therefore, airport pick-up and drop-off and transfers are provided from the Cologne Airport.

Professional Match Trips are included. The Program offers opportunities to watch Bundesliga matches (the highest professional league in Germany) on a regular basis.

Training Excursions are taken to Cultural and pro-club training facilities. Trips to the professional club training facilities of Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Cologne are organized regularly as well as cultural visits to cities such as Frankfurt, Dusseldorf & Cologne.

Daily Training takes place each morning Monday – Friday.sportschule_pool

Fitness Training Sessions are part of the curriculum two times per week.

Soccer tactics and theory are taught in the classroom in the classroom once a week to build each student’s mental strength.

Medical insurance is included. You can have peace of mind knowing your child is covered.

essiEskandar Zamani, a UEFA Licensed German Coach and the new Technical Director of Football at EduKick Germany, has already been able to connect with professional and semi-professional clubs at all levels of the German game.

These relationships allow the opportunity for EduKick Germany participants who show they can play at a certain level to train or have trials with established German professional clubs including Bayer 04, Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, FC Schalke 04, Borussia M’Gladbach, Eintracht Frankfurt, Mainz 05, Fortuna Düsseldorf and VFL Bochum.

To round out their education and encourage intercultural competence each student will also experience weekend social events, the opportunity to see professional German football matches and excursions to cultural locations in the area, such as Bonn and Koblenz.

EduKick Germany will begin strong when the soccer academy officially opens in the spring of 2014 for terms of one to three months (with continuing at the school always an option). Competitive football players (boys and girls) from 16 to 24 years of age are welcome to register. Younger applicants are considered on an individual basis.

EduKick Madrid Announces Girl’s Football Academy

Marielle_2 (1)EduKick Madrid Soccer Academy invites FEMALE Soccer Players to attend their Residential Academic & Soccer Development Courses.

The EduKick Madrid Soccer Academy combines education (both secondary and Spanish language study) with daily, intense Spanish football training led by the family of the former Spanish Men’s National Team Coach Luis Aragones.

EduKick Madrid is directed by Anselmo Vicioso Aragones, Luis Aragones’ adult nephew, a former professional player and holder of a MA in Education/Sports psychology from Boston University who worked with the Spanish National team during recent Word Cup and European cup campaigns as the team’s mental coach.

EduKick Madrid invites all competitive FEMALE players aged 14-22 years of age to “Train in Spain” and inquire about our academic year, half year, semester and monthly courses available.

Elyse Galan, a 17-year-old player from Quebec gives a glowing report of what EduKick can do. Said Galan,

“I spent a month at the EduKick Madrid Soccer Academy recently and found it an excellent place for me to grow as a player and a person. The training with EduKick and AD Colmenar was very beneficial and helped me improve all aspects of my play. 1391706_630164677006038_2063413052_nThe EduKick Madrid Soccer Academy offers intense, daily Spanish style football training and match play over a prolonged period of time in Madrid, Spain; one of the world’s epic centers of footballer development.

EduKick Madrid has strong partnerships with many football clubs throughout Madrid, from grass roots to the professional level.

Its main partnership is with A.D. Colmenar, which is a Spanish 3rd Division professional club federated under the umbrella of the Spanish and Madrid official Football Federations.

Marielle_2Marielle Benitez, Captain of the Philippine Women’s National Team (among many other accomplishments) is an excellent example of the kind of player EduKick produces. EduKick President, Joey Bilotta said,

“Marielle was the first big name of female players to train at EduKick Madrid and since then we have had several other quality female footballers pass through our academy. But now we are dedicating a specialized curriculum for female players to come to Spain and stay long term to learn Spanish and pursue their football dreams in home of the world champions.”

Upon initial evaluation by EduKick Madrid technical staff coaches those EduKick Madrid FEMALE players who have the minimum ability level and experience will be invited to attend A.D. Colmenar trials and may be inserted into their FEMALE squads.

These squads will train 2 or 3 evenings each week and play competitive matches in the Madrid Federation leagues on weekends.

All FEMALE participants will train daily under the guidance of EduKick Madrid FC Head Technical Coach “MISTER” Sergio Leon Ballesteros alongside EduKick Madrid Male participants. These sessions will be technical and tactical based to complement the local team evening training sessions.

1459983_630164673672705_364796140_nThe EduKick Madrid Academy is located in the Residencia Erasmo de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid en Cantoblanco and in the north of Madrid.

The cornerstone of all EduKick Madrid programs is the “Year Long” course which runs from September – June.

EduKick also offers a “Half-Year” course which runs from January – June, and monthly programs (4 weeks) available anytime during the “Year Long Course”.

At the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid Residence ERASMO participants receive 3 meals a day at the University Residence Cafeteria (EduKick Cafe).

EduKick Madrid employs a full-time adult FEMALE monitor to reside at the University residence with our FEMALE players for 24/7 supervision, mentorship and general assistance.

EduKick Madrid have their offices located in the residence giving all staff the responsibility to supervise and mentor the courses student-athletes.

The aim of our 15 hours per week intensive Spanish course (9 hrs. instruction at IH and 6 hrs. Spanish tutoring/homework) is to achieve usable communicative ability, and prepare students for the DELE exams, the internationally recognized official Spanish qualification.

Participants who are already fluent in Spanish or have at least a minimum of 200 hours of exposure to the Spanish language have the option to attend the EduKick Madrid affiliate High School “Rosa Chacel” where they will follow the Spanish Bachillerato curriculum or the International Baccalaureate program.

The EduKick Madrid residence has classrooms available complete with WIFI for those participants who choose to continue their studies from home, long distance, or online. Our Academic Coordinator is onsite to supervise students during daily study periods.

EduKick Madrid’s New Female Soccer Program

Now, female soccer players from 13 to 24 years old are coming from all over in the world (EduKick provides Student Visa support) to join this new addition to the EduKick family.

Watch this video of Ashley, full time monitor and assistant coach explain how the program works as well as her role in training and encouraging the girls in their soccer skills and language studies.

The girls are training daily – sometimes alongside their male counterparts – under EduKick Madrid’s Head Technical Coach, Sergio Leon Ballesteros.

These sessions are technical as well as tactical to function alongside the local training sessions that the girls also take part in on a regular basis.

Not only have they added this new training program, they have also broadened their soccer connections with females squads, both professional and amateur located in the Madrid area and throughout Spain.

EduKick Madrid has established an agreement of affiliation with the women’s senior squad of the Spanish 3rd Division pro-team, A.D. Colmenar.

One of the exciting details for the girls is their individual evaluation for a possible invitation to attend A.D. Colmenar trials. Those who are approved by EduKick Technical Coaches have the opportunity to be inserted into their female squads.

Roberto Navajas Spends Time With EduKick Boys

Roberto NavajasFormer professional Spanish footballer and current Real Sociedad Assistant (Goalkeeper) Coach, Roberto Navajas recently visited the EduKick Manchester Football Academy.

Navajas is a friend of EIFA Founder and President, Joey Bilotta. The two met when Bilotta was on professional trial with Jerez de la Frontera in the second division (la Segunda A), in 1987.

At 21 years old, Bilotta was fresh out of college while Navajas – 17 years old – had begun a pro contract with Jerez as the club’s third goalkeeper.

The two football enthusiasts always valued their friendship and kept in touch over the years as each managed to remain working in their beloved football after their playing days had ended.

Navajas works now as a professional football coach, currently under contract with La Liga’s REAL SOCIEDAD.

The students had a great time with Navajas after his chat. They took photos him, he signed his autograph again and again and everyone enjoyed the visit.

Bilotta commented, “We all really appreciated the effort Roberto made to visit our players on the day of the match against Manchester United. He’s a generous professional who appreciates the value of sharing with young aspiring professionals, he’s a great friend of mine and of EduKick Manchester Football Academy.”

Navajas, whose club – Real Sociedad – currently sits in 7th place in LA LIGA, is presently focused on helping his squad move up the Spanish table and survive in Champions League play. Good luck to Roberto and Real Sociedad this season! And thank you so much for coming by.

EduKick Manchester 2013-14 student-athletes recently participated in their first open trial event hosted by our partners at UK Football Trials.

It was a cold and rainy day in the Northwest of England, but all of our players displayed great character – which really impressed the coaches and scouts.

The UK Football Trials Head Coach and coaching staff put the players through three hours of tactical and technical sessions, physical testing and trial matches. Watching were scouts from clubs such as Stoke City, Blackburn Rovers.

At the end of the session each player received an information pack from UK Football trials and an evaluation sheet.
